Our story
Bellona was chosen for a reason.
When I moved to America, I found myself navigating a completely new chapter of life. I changed, struggled, gained weight, and spent a long time trying to find something that made me feel like myself again.
But I didn't give up.
I kept searching for a form of movement that I genuinely enjoyed — something that made me feel strong rather than pressured, connected rather than judged. Eventually, I found Pilates.
It became more than exercise. It became a way to reconnect with myself, to feel strong in my body, and to appreciate the process of becoming who I am.
The name Bellona, inspired by the Roman goddess of war, represents that strength to me — not the strength of being perfect, but the strength to keep going, keep searching, and never give up on yourself.
Bellona Velvet was born from that journey.
